My entire supply on heart-blood
went into this album and I hope that its pulse can be felt in this music.
It was quite a tremendous endeavour of composing new pieces, evolving some old ones and of finding a new balance not only the soundwise - but for my entire life.
With this music I kept myself from drowning
in the tides of the turmoil of this transformative time in history.
Every piece was recorded in one piece and therewith
represents the raw feeling of that moment -
a sense of aliveness of the music that is often lost in
these days of overpowering artificial perfectionism in all the arts.
To counter this, the entire production is done with mostly
analog devices that I brought together in endless hours of trial and error this winter to find a new and very personal sound - and I am deeply grateful for how it all worked out.
I gave everything monetary and energy wise to this dream -
when crossroads made me choose between
this path and the safety of a different profession - and ....
I got back on my feet, dusted off these doubts and kept
on walking the road less traveled.
So you can imagine that, after friends and family - creating and sharing this music means most to me in this life!
