MAXIMO releases debut album GREATEST HITS, a personal and sincere selection of songs
composed between the ages of 9 and (his current) 19 years of age
Playing through intimate and festive spaces, liquid and rocky times, Máximo (b. Coimbra, 2003) composes pendular narratives (the incessant movement of rise-fall, journey-return) through piano lines that tell stories experienced throughout his colossal youth age, in progress. Breaths of light, memory and feeling, which cross the cosmic frontier of ephemerality to transform themselves into new possibilities for different paths, interpretations, reunions, like sound-imaginary particles that unfold in the relativity of each listener’s space-time.
Máximo: Greatest Hits is thus a takeoff record with a title of arrival to a moment of catharsis: the first and auspicious formal expression is materialized on a marbled vinyl with 140 gram pressing and photographs by André Cepeda, bringing together the music he has been creating since age 9, almost as naturally and instinctively as he learned to speak or swim.
